The art of beginning again
PROJECT SUMMARYIt kicked into high gear on a bench in Boston—this love story. That’s how it was told to us, alongside a wishlist for a major renovation overlooking Crabtree Valley. And we didn’t forget it.

Our clients were stepping into something new together, and they wanted their home to reflect that same sense of renewal. But what they brought with them was anything but blank—a storage room filled with a life already lived. Family heirlooms. Facebook finds. Layers of memory, meaning, and spontaneity. Where some designers might hesitate, we leaned in.
This is where Hue lives—in that intersection of beauty and reality. Lived-in luxury. A home that holds both intention and history without asking either to quiet down.
This project became as much about reimagining as it was about sourcing. About honoring what mattered while shaping what could be.
There were guiding aspirations: a suggestion of tapestries in the bedroom, a ladies’ lounge that felt sultry rather than sweet, a place for the grand piano to both anchor and perform, a living room designed for everyday closeness and ambitious entertaining.
While no literal tapestries were hung, the primary floor unfolded in layers—spaces that shift between bold and delicate, glossy and matte, feminine and masculine. Rooms that hold privacy when needed, and open easily when the evening calls for more.
And then, quietly, a motif: the bench.
One in the bedroom, easy to slide on those shoes.
Another, by the entry—ready for a morning kiss goodbye.
And a third, tucked into the lounge, waiting for the rhythm of daily life to land and linger. -
